Why left and right kegs? The Cooler Keg comes with two (not identical) kegs. The position of the 'in' and 'out' posts on the keg decide where the handle is so having right and left kegs keep the handles on the same side of the cooler. This allows the draft tower fits inside during transport.
How do I know which is which? If you hold a keg with the handle near you and the 'in' post is on the left, it's a left keg -- if it's on the right, it's a right keg.
